I have decided it’s time for another entry in a promotion that is being run. The prize this time is $100 cash. This promotion is being held by WordHugger.
If you have never heard of WordHugger before, they are a site that lets the buyer purchase a word for $60 and then they create a page for it. There are currently 63 words sold and the prize will be given away after they sell their 100th word.
One neat thing about WordHugger is that 50% of the profits from the site go to Kiva, which is a non-profit organization that helps finance entrepreneurs in third world countries. The idea behind Kiva is that people send money in $25 increments and then the money is pooled together as a loan to someone in a developing country. When the loan is paid back you can get your money back.
Kiva seems like a good concept, but the only return on your investment is knowing that your helping someone in a developing country. If they would provide some return on the investment, I would strongly consider sending some money their way.
Be sure to check out the official announcement to find out about the other prizes that are being offered as a part of this promotion. The total prize package values at $220 + links and exposure so visit the WordHugger Blog and check it out.
