In their quest to help maintain the accuracy of the information provided on their website, the people at Wikipedia have gained access to a tool created by a college student that helps to locate the physical location of people who submit or change information.
In the use of this tool, some interesting discoveries have been made. It appears that there may possibly be some conspiracies that are not just theories. There are parts of biographies of some past presidents that were changed and information left out. These changes were traced back to computers at the CIA.
Also, parts of the site that talked about questionable financial practices at major corporations such as Exxon and Enron were edited by these companies to cover up this information. There was also note that a company which participated in the research, development, and production of Agent Orange edited their biography to eliminate reference to the chemical.
It appears that in trying to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the information that Wikipedia offers, the people that run the website may have discovered some real life cover-ups that may have otherwise gone unnoticed or just regarded as someone’s idea of being funny.

With a free for all encyclopedia, this is bound to happen. However, I do depend a lot on wikipedia for instant information and I am sure there are wikipedia loyalists who would correct such errors almost at once.
