There is something that I see people paying for on a regular basis that somewhat baffles me. People will spend money on something that they could get for free and I just don’t understand why. What is this mystery item? Bottled water.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I think water is great and I drink lots of water everyday. I have also been known to buy a bottle of water from time to time. However, generally, I will use a bottle that I have purchased in the past several times by simply refilling it. I know it is not always possible to do this and that you might not always have it along when you need it and in these cases you should go ahead and buy one.

What gets me is the people who will buy a bottle of water every day or in some cases multiple bottles of water each day. It’s as if they don’t realize that they can get it free. In some cases, people will argue that it tastes better or some excuse like that. To those people, my response is that if it has been declared safe to drink, save your money and drink it.

Besides, tap water is going to taste different from one place to another, but after you drink a gallon or two of it, you don’t really notice anymore and you could be saving a ton of money. Why pay for something you can get for free?
