Since adding the MyBlogLog widget to my blog, I have been quite impressed with it. I find it very encouraging to see who has been visiting my site and I also like the stats that it provides.
However, there is a third aspect of it that I must admit I have not done very well with. That third aspect is that it can be very useful for discovering new sites to visit. When someone comes to visit your site, I think you should go visit theirs as well.
Generally speaking, I pretty much visit the same blogs each day and I visit these blogs multiple times each day. What I am going to try to do from here on out (or at least for the next week or so) is to visit at least one new blog each day and I am going to choose that blog from the ones that show up in my widget.
This brings me to my question for this post, how do you normally find, discover, and/or decide to visit a new blog?
There has been much discussion about attracting new visitors and getting them to be repeat visitors, but from the point of view of a reader, what brings you to a new blog?
