It won’t be long now. I have been waiting on putting radios in my Blazer until the release of Kenwood’s new dual-band mobile radio the TM-D710. An official announcement has been made and the radio should be available by the end of the month.
This radio looks to be the most complete do-it-all feature rich dual-band mobile radio on the market. Kenwood is using this radio to replace the TM-D700 which has been on the market for several years. There are several differences between the two but I am not sure what they will all be as I have not yet gotten the D710. I know the D710 will have more memories and the layout of the control head is a bit different.
The announcement says that they will be available in late August but does not give a specific day. Also, it appears that Kenwood has not yet put this radio on the website for users to view pictures and read through a PDF version of the operating manual.
