I finally dumped all of my ad programs as well as the BlogRush widget. I wasn’t getting much in the way of results from them and they were slowing down the load time of my page. Instead, I now have two ad options for my viewers to bid on. You can bid on the same 125×125 ads as before or the 468×60 ads that were previously under AdSense, ExoClick, etc.
You will also noticed that I removed the affiliate badges from my sidebar. I have done this because they were not getting any clicks and it allows me to move the Supporters section up so that they have quite a bit better placement.
I also want to give some recognition to my top commentators from last month. I know I have the counter set to show the top 10, but I’m only going to mention the top 5 because I think you should have to leave more than 1 comment to make the list.
There was a tie for the top spot between Derek Semmler and Abdalla Ahmed. These guys both have very good blogs that you should check out. While your there, sign up for their RSS feeds I’m sure they won’t mind.
Spots 3-5 were also in a tie. This time it was between Mahdi Yusuf from The King Kong Blog, where you can win Enkay’s MP3 Player, Prija from Blogging The Movie, and the Jason that uses all sorts of weird Chinese or Japanese characters in his comment signature. I have recently begun checking out Jason’s blog on a sporadic basis and am slowly becoming a regular reader.

“Slowly becoming a regular reader”? Hmm … I’ll take that as a good sign. I enjoy reading your blog, too
The Japanese you see in my name are part of the katakana character set, and that’s how you spell “Jason” in Japanese. With so many other bloggers and commenters by the same name, we need to be just a little creative to really stand out, ne?
Yes it is a good thing, well if you want me to read your blog anyway. I only say I’m slowly becoming a regular reader because I don’t check it as often as I do some of the others that I read, but I find myself checking it more and more.
I think I’d read your explanation of the characters before but couldn’t remember exactly what the deal was. Thanks for clearing that up.
I hope the site changes prove beneficial for your site and continued growth.
For Jason, I have to say that the katankana character set next to your name definitely makes it stand out.
Nick, thanks for the mention and the comment about my blog. I like the changes that you are making to the site and always like to see people trying new things with their blog.
