If you have something that is causing harmful interference, whoever you are interfering with will be sure to let you know...unless of course their device has the Part 15 message as well, then there isn't much they can do about it. However, devices that have this message are generally designed so that they can't/won't cause any interference.

I dont think I have ever paid attention to this message being on electronic devices. bBut now that you made me aware of it, i am kind of curious to know if they ever do cause harmful interference. How do you know your device is causing harmful interference?

Well, look at the back/bottom of almost any electronics you have and you should see it on a sticker or engraved on there somewhere. You've probably seen it before but never noticed/paid attention to it.

Lol, yeah, I remember wondering about it in the past as well :)

I can totally imagine someone having a sh!t-fit because they didn't want a device that was going to be accepting all sorts of interference and having to deal with "undesired operation" LOL!

That is interesting to learn the background behind that message and why it is there.

I remember the first time I noticed it, I was much younger. I turned over my portable cassette player and freaked out when I learned that it was designed to accept "any interference received."
