As is often the case when anticipating a new product, I am still waiting to get my hands on a Kenwood TM-D710. I became somewhat concerned when I started seeing a bit of buzz around the web stating that some people had received these new radios already because I had pre-ordered one.

As it turns out, the first production run of these radios was very limited and there were not enough produced to even fill all of the orders for those that had been pre-ordered. The result is that I will be waiting until sometime around the first of October before being able to get the radio I am planning to put in my Blazer.

I guess it’s time to really get down to business on planning out this installation so that it will go as smoothly as possible. I’ll try and document as much of the process on here as possible. In the meantime, the manual for the radio is now available on Kenwood’s website so I can give that a look and save myself some time when the radio arrives and already know all the new features of the radio.
