Sometimes, there is a prize cool enough that even if you don’t want to, you can’t help but get entered for a chance to win. There is such a giveaway that was started yesterday at Stay At Home Dad, Geek Style.
This time around, Mike has teamed up with SitterCity to hold the “Stay At Home Dad iMac Give-Away” where the person whose name is drawn will receive a brand-spankin-new, unopened 20” Apple iMac.
For those of you who may be wondering (like I was) what SitterCity is, it is a site that is designed to help people find babysitters and help those in the child care industry get some exposure. This is a partnership that some people might find odd (he writes about SEO, web development, technology, etc) and others will feel makes a lot of sense (he also writes about his daughter, parenting, etc).
There are several ways to get your chance at winning the iMac. All entrants must write a post about the promotion and the post most contain at least 250 words and include specific links, etc. This is similar to many of the other giveaways that bloggers have. One thing that can be beneficial to you if you really want to win this machine is that he is using a ticket system where you can get a given number of tickets (or your name into the drawing a given number of times) based on doing different things.
If you are wondering what some of these different things are, you should check it out. While you’re in the promotion entering mood and trying to win free stuff, be sure to leave some comments on my posts and enter to win my giveaway.
