I have updated the IP address for romandock dot com in the DNS system. According to the alert that you get every time you do this, it will be approximately 24 hours before this update permeates throughout the internet and the domain name points to the new IP address. At this time I am still using the old IP address.
Tomorrow, at approximately 24 hours after I submitted this change, there will be a person from my ISP here to “install” my new cable modem and change me over to my new IP address. This is a necessary upgrade as I will have more bandwidth so that this site will load quicker when you come to visit, and I will also be on a static IP address so there will be less chance of downtime in the future.
In my efforts to minimize the downtime as much as possible during this upgrade, I have updated the IP address in the DNS system now and if all goes well, it will take effect around the same time as the upgrade is taking place. If, during the next day or so, you are unable to access this site, check back later because it WILL be back.
