There is a recent event that I have not seen anywhere in the blogosphere and I feel that someone should at least mention it so I guess I will.

I know that college professors all retire eventually and statistically speaking, there is probably a professor somewhere that gives their last lecture every day.

There is one in particular though that gave his last lecture recently and it got him a lot of attention. In fact, it was even mentioned in the Wall Street Journal.

Professor Randy Pausch from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA gave his final lecture entitled “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” and gave inspiration to many people.

I took the time to watch the lecture and even though it was a bit long (1 hour and 25 minutes to be exact) it was time well spent. Heck, I even took some notes on it.

You can watch it below, but it may be more desirable to click the Google Video icon on the bottom right corner and then go to Google Video and watch it in full screen.
