I honestly don't know what parts of each side I agree with because I can easily see so many different points of view on the topic. In regards to your response about the older children, I think the psychological damage will be present anyway because even if they don't get dropped off, they can tell how excited their parents are to have them around and whether they are "wanted"...it's just that without this system in place, it gets attributed to different factors and classified differently. One way I can see where the baby would be better off being dropped off than being killed. That is one baby saved. Rather than being dropped off in a trash can, the baby can have a chance at the safe haven. On the other hand, I dont quite agree with older children being dropped off.
