Wow, it’s hard to believe I have already been doing this for a year. It was exactly one year ago today that this site went live and the first post was added. To recognize this important day I’m not going to have any massive promotions or giveaways or anything like that, but I will give away some advertising just for kicks. More details on that at the end of this post, right now I am going to give myself and my readers a bit of a snapshot of what has happened in the last year since this site was started:

@Martin - Yeah, they are interesting. I’m somewhat surprised that some of the numbers are not higher. Looking at the post rate, I didn’t quite average 1 per day, but I also had a fair amount of time when I didn’t post hardly at all!

My blog’s turn will come 24th Aug as it marks one year to the date I switched from blogspot to self-hosted wordpress.
WOW! Congratulations on One Year. Whats kind of sad is that I completed my 1st year in May but I wasn’t blogging around that time to even acknowledge it! Maybe I’ll have an unofficial birthday party once I move over to the new service.

@betshopboy - It will come faster than you think. Seems like just last week I was six months away and trying to decide if I should do something huge to celebrate.

Nick, congratulations on the accomplishment of getting through the first year! It is amazing how quickly the time goes by and you’ve done a great job of staying active with the blog.

Thanks, I must admit that I did go through a bit of a slump in the middle of it all where I wasn’t very active, but have gotten things mostly back on track. The time does go by fast!
I do hope my success continues and expands so I can start making as much as you do!
I should have probably mentioned in those statistics that my subscriber count has been fluctuating between 26 and 31 lately.

Hmmm, like I stated in the post, I wasn’t really going to do any huge extravaganza of any sort, but if you don’t mind, I might put some sort of promotion together and use them as prizes for that.
Those are pretty good stats…congratulations on one year! Looks like with 343 posts you did a really good job at updating just about everyday!
I wish! Actually, when I posted I posted more than 1 per day but then I went through a period where I didn’t hardly post for a couple of months. At least it all averages out though
Perhaps I can have closer to 500 posts in year two!
