While everyone else is freaking out about a loss of PageRank or it not going as high as they expected it to be, I am just happy to finally have a number at all. Google must be nearly done with their PageRank updates and finally had time to update my ranking.

While my ranking is only a 3 and is not something that most people would be excited about, it is better than not having one at all and I feel is not too shabby for having been blogging for less than 4 months.

Even though the system/algorithm is not perfect, I think that Google PageRank is a valuable ranking tool and it or a similar system needs to be in place. While there are other measures for blogs, there is not a ranking system that is/can be used by all websites. Having the PageRank system is a fairly accurate way to compare two sites that may or may not have much in common.
