Well, I finally decided to find out what all the fuss is about in regards to MyBlogLog. I have created an account, uploaded an avatar, and installed the “recent readers” at the bottom of my sidebar. It has been said that social networking and social networking sites are great for increasing traffic, so I will see if it helps. Unfortunately, I will not be able to do any case studies on the implementation of MyBlogLog because I have a couple of other projects underway that will hopefully be increasing traffic as well.
In adding the “recent readers” section, I have noticed that it is somewhat difficult to get the colors to blend the way I would like. In fact, it still isn’t quite how I would prefer. I would like to make it look more like the rest of my sidebar sections. I’m sure this is because of the fact that it is intended to be added as a widget rather than by hand.
You may or may not notice that the “recent readers” section only shows up on the front page. I did this because I feel that my sidebar is getting a bit long, especially when looking at the category pages that only show the excerpts of five posts at a time.
Another thing I noticed in joining MyBlogLog is that there appears to be a lot more to the program that I had previously thought. There are communities, friend lists, and several other aspects that I have not yet investigated.
I look forward to seeing your avatar on my blog, and look for me on yours.

I realized about a few days ago that you were finally showing up on my Recent Readers list and then I read this post that day. Good thinking by joining MBL as its a fantastic way to meet your readers!
Yeah, aside from the social networking aspect and benefits, I figured this would be a good way to see who is visiting my site.
