We all know that we spend a significant amount of time writing and working on our own blogs, but we also have to remember to spend time on other people’s blogs as well. I am posing the question in regards to commenting, but just reading other blogs can have the same effect.
While I do use a feedreader on a regular basis, I prefer to stay away from it as much as possible. By actually viewing the sites in a browser, MyBlogLog shows the site’s author that you do visit and also it is much easier to leave a quick comment.
Personally, I spend probably as much if not more time reading and commenting on other sites than I do working on my own. For one thing, if I only have a few minutes and not enough time to crank out my next post, I will take that time to check-in on what my fellow bloggers have been up to.
Another thing I do to keep myself visiting your sites is that I have a bit of a pre-blogging routine that I go through when I am about to write a post. As a part of this routine, I catch up on the reading of my regular list and usually leave comments. There are times when my pre-blogging routine actually takes longer than creating the post.
I have also noticed that the more you comment on someone’s blog, the easier it is to comment again and again and the more likely I am to leave another comment. How much time do you spend on other people’s blogs?

I feel the same way, but have no intention on cutting back.
