As I mentioned in my most recent “This Week In Blogging” post, I have decided to take some measures to not be continually linking to the same dozen or so sites each time I write one of those posts. Now, for the people who normally benefit from my current practices, this will be a bit of a disappointment. However, as readers, it should make those not-quite weekly posts a bit more worth reading and clicking through. Also, this will give me an opportunity to further expand my horizons within the blogosphere and venture to sites aside from those I am subscribed to.
I have decided that one great way to do this would be to make it easier for my readers to tell me about interesting posts that they come across and feel are worth my time to read or worth my linking to in my next weekly round-up post. I have set a few ground rules to try and remove some temptation to abuse my system. However, if people do start abusing it and I begin receiving suggestions to read a ton of crappy posts, I might have to discontinue it’s use.
Anyway, you can read more about the rules and what exactly the submission entails on my Submit A Post page. It’s a pretty simple page that has a few rules and some information at the top and a submission form at the bottom. You might want to bookmark it to make it that much easier to use when you do come across those gems that I should link to.
For future use, the “Submit A Post” page will be accessible under the “Pages” section of my sidebar.

I think this is a good idea becuase then if you are ever drawing a blank you can see if anyone has come up with any suggestions on what you should post about. GREAT PLAN!
I am sooooo gonna steal your idea.
Hehe, go for it!
Yeah, I too like this idea. Another thing that I have tried for fresh inspiration on link posts is to ask people on twitter for posts that they have found interesting.
I knew that Kwan does this, and I see now that you do as well, but I think I’ll try this for now and see how it goes before I take the plunge and start wasting all my time on Twitter.
thats a good idea to use twitter. i suppose i should give it a try again. right now, facebook has got me all tied up. cant stop using it! lol facebook and stumbleupon are the eeeeeeeeevil!!
Hey Nick, I took the plunge and submitted a post a couple of weeks back (about giving away a PS3!)!
