As the summer winds down, we enter the fair season. County, state, and other fairs with exhibits, rides, games, and of course food. In the same category as these fairs are many other festivals and celebrations that are held annually. While some are more eventful and have more things to offer than others, almost all of them will have a variety of food vendors attending.
Some of the things you can get at these fairs, carnivals, and festivals are things that you may consume on a day to day basis such as bottled water, fries, and pizza. However, one of the things that gets people to buy food at these gatherings is not the (usually outrageously high) prices, but the stuff that most people do not eat on a regular basis such as fresh squeezed lemonade, funnel cake, and kettle corn.
There are other things that would fall in to this category, but those are the three that I usually find the most appealing. Are there any foods that you are looking forward to getting during a particular end of summer gathering?
