Here's something to take this a step further for your situation...What if a new product that you really wanted was being released and they had been signed as the exclusive distributor for said item and/or had a significantly lower price on it than any of the competitors? Some of my family and friends have joined my boycott of Best Buy and while I know the store doesn't care, it does make me feel better.
