It’s been quite awhile since I have added anything to my “money” category so I decided to share some views on the current economic “crisis” and why I don’t think it is as bad of a situation as everyone is making it out to be.

I just discovered that the Prosper program has decided to continue their referral program indefinitely. This means that my readers can still help me out and benefit from doing so. However, I have determined that at this time I will not be offering advertising as an incentive.

I’m tired of being broke and really want to get some of my debts paid off. While it may sound like a strange idea at first, there are many benefits that can be enjoyed if you overpay your bills on a regular basis.

Beginning April 7, the US Treasury is lowering the minimum investment from $1,000 to $100. Also, I have signed up for an account on TreasuryDirect as a result of this announcement and have discovered how long it can take to get access to your account.

Many experts and financial advisors will say that getting an income tax return is not necessarily a good thing. I disagree and think that most people probably should get between $500 and $2000 back when they file their income taxes.

It is much easier to save money if you don’t see what you cannot have now, but rather, what you will be able to get in the future because of it.

After being a part of an investment and stock picking game, I have noticed some very significant flaws in using them to gauge an individual’s real-world stock picking abilities.
