Blogs and Blogging

For my first post of the month, I always feel a need to do some housekeeping. Welcome my to new advertisers and thank you to my top commentators from last month and that sort of thing. Well, this month I don’t have any new advertisers to welcome, but I do have promotion to announce.

I have three little bits of random thought that I wanted to get out to my readership and decided to just lump them all three together in one post.

Inspired by a post at Postcards From The Funny Farm, I have drawn an analogy of how blog readers are like cookies and we shouldn’t try to grow our traffic to more readers than we have time to attend to.

I often find it hard to post something after a lapse in posting. I think it might be because I feel I need to have a “killer” post to make up for the lack of posting. This translates into a question of quality versus quantity.

A weekly wrap-up of some of the interesting things going on in the blogosphere from the previous week.

For the second time this week, I was working on a posts that I decided not to finish and decided not to publish. How often does this happen throughout the blogosphere?

I was thinking today about how there are different groups of bloggers and that these different groups could almost be considered cliques.

Inspired by the vast number of times I have seen the name of this site massacred throughout the blogosphere, I have decided to write a little post on what I feel is the proper etiquette when using an “official” name for another site.

I apologize to Damien, thank Andrea, and remove PerformancingAds. Just some random tid-bits and a bit of tidying up (kind of like housekeeping but not quite).

I have recently noticed a spike in the number of video posts being added to the blogosphere and am not really sure that I am fond of this trend. Sometimes (most of the time) I think people would be better off using a regular old-fashioned text post.
