Some time ago, there was a lot of excitement about a program called Agloco that said it would pay members who signed up for hours spent surfing the internet (up to a maximum of five hours per month) while using their viewbar. This sounded like a great idea and many people jumped on board.

There were multiple posts on many blogs about Agloco and I even wrote a post about the program. Then, the excitement seemed to die down. After the tool bar was released, people seemed to quit talking about the program and almost forget about it.

The viewbar does not seem too terribly obtrusive, even on a 1024×768 screen resolution, and the five hour per month maximum is incredibly easy to achieve. Unfortunately, the viewbar is only available for Windows at this point, but it just forces me to use my Windows computer for at least 5 hours of browsing per month.

A lot of the reason that the excitement seemed to die down about this program is because people have been using this viewbar for about three months now and yet there has been no official word on if/when people are going to get paid or how much the pay outs are going to be.

There was a recent announcement on their company blog that addressed this issue, gave some updates as to the status of the program, and hinted that information about getting paid should be available within a couple of weeks.

I think there is still a pretty good chance of something positive coming of this program and would encourage your to join Agloco if you have not already.
