There is a site called bloggingsecret.net that is offering free links to anyone who writes a review of the site. There are details of the promotion on the site and the concept is pretty simple. This site advertises the amount of readers and current page rank to “sell” the idea to the prospective reviewers. The idea is that people will be so enticed to get a link-back from this site that they will give them the free review.
Yes, I am giving the site a review and another link on the web. When I first got to the site, the first two things that I noticed were visual things. The layout of the site is not one that most people use today. There is a sidebar on each side of the page and the content is in the middle. This is definitely in contrast to the most popular layout where there is a single sidebar on the right-hand side and the content is on the left.
The other visual thing that I noticed was the patriotic looking logo/banner at the top of the page. I noticed it but did not think much about it at first. After looking around the page, I discovered that the author is in Malaysia and it makes me wonder the reason behind the patriotic banner.
The nationality of the author is not generally a big deal, except that it shows in the writing. It is almost distracting to read much of this site simply due to grammar and language errors. I also noticed that the contact page brings the viewer to a different website and has a completely different look than the rest of the site.
I would recommend that everyone who plans to put things on the web look at this site for at least a few minutes, even if you are not interested in the sites topic (which is to make easy money online), because these points mentioned here set this site apart from all of the others that are out there and can make you think of elements that you may have not given much thought to before.
