Well, Jason tagged me in a meme and my regulars know that I am not likely to ignore a challenge. So, here I am coming up with 8 random facts about myself. Unlike Jason, I am not going to try and keep these on a single topic or relate them together.

1. My favorite TV channel is CBS - This did not happen on purpose, but I have noticed that most of the shows I watch are on CBS. I am not sure why but I just happened to realize this the other day. Also, as far as local news programs, if I were to watch one, it would be the one on CBS.

2. I drink a lot of water – I almost always have a bottle of water along with me when I go someplace and am more likely to drink water than any other beverage. At times I have consumed significant amounts of water in a single day and, for me, it certainly pays off to save money on bottled water.

3. My shoe size is 9 ½ - This doesn’t have anything to do with anything, but hey, it’s supposed to be 8 random facts. This does vary depending upon the shoe in some cases its 9 and others it might be 10, but most of the time it is either 9 or 9 ½ with the latter being most likely

4. I drive a Chevrolet Blazer – You may have already known this if you have read about some of my ham radio exploits, but if you didn’t before, you do now. If you’re wondering what it looks like, you can see pictures of it. In this time of high gas prices, it is not the most economical vehicle, but it gets about 20 MPG on the highway and it’s nice to have four-wheel drive and be able to pull a small trailer if the need arises.

5. I like to kayak – I haven’t gotten it out yet this summer, but I did use it quite a bit last summer. I even purchased a waterproof ham radio to use when I go out kayaking. It’s very enjoyable being out on the water in a kayak and hanging out and I hope to get a chance to do some kayaking this summer. Canoeing is fun too, but my kayak is easier to haul with my Blazer.

6. I can’t draw – Well, I can sketch out a mean stick figure, but generally speaking my drawing skills are nothing to be proud of. I guess I’m not going to be an artist in this lifetime.

7. I know how to solve a Rubik’s Cube – According to some people, this isn’t necessarily something to be proud of, but it is something that I know how to do and I’m pretty sure that it would qualify as a random fact about me. This also explains why I happened to have a Rubik’s Cube handy for this snapshot.

8. I don’t drink beer – I’m old enough to drink and I do consume alcohol from time-to-time on a semi-regular basis, but I don’t drink beer. I will drink most mixed drinks and whatnot, but I have never cared too much for the taste of beer. My thoughts on that are: if I don’t like it, what is the point of drinking it? I have on a few occasions (like 3 or 4 total) drunk it, but do not do so on any sort of regular basis and generally don’t drink if that is the only option.
